Forgotten Amid The Virus and Riots: "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God"

I don't know what is going on in the countries some of you readers live in, but in America God is exposing those in the religious realm who are opposing him with their falsehoods, and those in the secular realm, who are both part of the demonic spiritual global effort to weaken America.  In the end, all of them will eventually lose (Revelation 12:12, Revelation 13, Revelation 16, Revelation 17, Revelation 19, Revelation 20).  The God allowed virus was a first warning to America, the world, and church to turn to and seek God and his ways, not man or his ways.  It is a period of His grace.  But what has happened in the last few months?  From what has been seen or not seen, God is still avoided and man still thinks he doesn't need God.  Man is still trying to rely on Science to solve something God allowed.  Lesson of grace not taken seriously; blindness because of not knowing the Word of God.

So, another problem arises due to the killing of a man by police in Minneapolis.  This turned into nation wide protests that quickly turned into godless acts by people who follow their own desires apart from what is good.  But the secular world and its rulers, including the globalist media, pushes globalist agendas even in this issue without one mention of the need to turn to God.  There is no such thing as "race" in God's church.

But people are being played by Satan like pawns to keep them away from God's church of born again believers in order to sow discord and division to carry out his globalist scheme.  And many are literally bowing to the discord and Satan's plan.  The Christian bows to God only, not even to an angel (Revelation 22:8-9)

Then there are those in these radical groups that want to tear down statues of various people they think represent racism.  The fact is that at least two of these statues represent anti-slavery and abolition by white people who helped black people throughout history such as Abraham Lincoln.  The persons that desire to do these things wish to erase history, which is a dangerous thing to do.  If this is done then there is no record of what occurred during a particular period of time and the chance to manipulate history can happen, and has happened.  Egypt was famous for doing this.  If a new Pharaoh under a different Dynasty did not like the previous Dynasty leader, they simply erased his existence from history.  Hieroglyphs were covered, statues were destroyed, and even tombs were hidden.  It was not until recent times these things were discovered.  One Dynasty did not want any record of the gods of the previous one, to include even of the existence of Israel in Egypt and the power of the true God as shown to us in the Bible.

Watching what has transpired in America the first week in June 2020 with the riots and the evil well funded organized Marxist groups like the demonic Antifa and others who join protests by those elements who are trying to destroy our country under the deceptive auspice of the term "black lives matter", and the similar spiritually influenced governors, mayors, and other politicians that are calling to de-fund the police and bring about more lawlessness is disturbing.  These participants are all being used for a larger global scheme that will happen, but people should not to even want to be part of.   These anarchists have the slogan, "No God, No Masters".  Without God there can only be discord.  Here enters the "thought police".  You're thoughts are controlled by the violence if you oppose what is going on in accordance with their thoughts.  You can see this today with those who have been fired from their jobs for even having an opinion that may question this stuff.  You are a racist if you oppose the violence of these groups.  It is a twisted world.  Speaking of the signs of the last days Jesus said of just one of them in Matthew 24

⁶ And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

⁷ For nation (Ethnos - ethnic groups) shall rise (egeirō - arouse against) against (epi - above upon) nation  (Ethnos - ethnic groups), and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

⁸ All these are the beginning of sorrows.

There will be no equality, but as Jesus said, different race groups will "rise" (egeirō - arouse against) each other.  Do we not see this demonic plan of Satan?  We can, and must be aware of it and not be part of it.  Again, in the true congregation of believers, there is no races.

One example is what is going on in Washington State where the Mayor of Seattle Jenny Durkan, and Governor Inslee have literally allowed these radical groups to take over a six square block of the city, including the police precinct in that area they call "Capitol Hill".  The police just abandoned it.  The Mayor banned the use of tear gas by the police and called the takeover a "summer love fest".  The area is known for it's gay community nightlife; the Mayor is also a lesbian.  And when asked about the radical takeover, Governor Inslee told a reporter he had not heard about it so could not make any comments.  Really?  Seattle is known to not deal with the radical Antifa that come out of Oregon every year during the May Day riots they have every year and destroy property.    Perhaps it is hard to stop something you don't want to stop.  These are spiritually manipulated globalist desires to allow lawlessness in opposition to God.  Again, eventually they will lose.

What does the Word of God say of these things?

Romans 1 says of some of these things,

²² Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

²³ And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

²⁴ Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

²⁵ Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

²⁶ For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

²⁷ And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

²⁸ And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

²⁹ Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

³⁰ Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

³¹ Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

³² Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Again, they will lose in the end.  This is sad for them for they think that their evil is good, and it is that which they call evil is really the good that could save them from the coming world Tribulation and destruction of those who oppose that which is good and of God.  These need to be prayed for.

Isaiah 5 says,

²⁰ Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

²¹ Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Daniel 7:25 speaks of that the rule of the anti-Christ will include the intent of changing of times (holy times / seasons) and laws for the purpose of harassing or to "wear out" those who turn to God during the Tribulation.  Those who fail to bow to him and take his mark will be killed.  It says,

²⁵ And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

²⁶ But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

This whole "defund the police" desire is a precursor to this changing of the times and lawlessness.  Again, the anti-Christ and his demonic world will fail at the coming of Jesus.

But in the mean time the anti-Christ will come and these will follow because God will give them over to their desires because these people rejected His plan.  We are told in 2 Thessalonians 2 that his plan is already at work and will be revealed at the taking God's people out of the world before he is revealed.

⁷ For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

⁸ And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

⁹ Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

¹⁰ And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

¹¹ And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

¹² That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The Hope

Watching these national evils transpire, an old song by Martin Luther came to mind; "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" (based on Psalm 46) .

I always liked the hymn, even as a kid going to a Lutheran Church in my former childhood days. So I thought I would share the words with you that are just as much for us today as they were back when it was written.   It contains a concept that many in a silent church have forgotten but need to remember and apply.

They are also a powerful praise to God's power and nobility from a guy who, with God with him, successfully took on the powerful false church of the Pope and started the "Reformation".
