...7 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” 8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. Since I do not know much about the politics and culture of Russia and Ukraine except there is much corruption in both, along with other nations, I am going to approach this from more of a spiritual aspect and try to compare what is happening with this invasion and Biblical prophecy and the concepts that God has showed us of Himself in His word; as the spiritual appears to be directing the political here.
First, the current invasion of Ukraine may not be outwardly seen in prophecy as is Ezekiel 38 - 39 with Israel. But what is happening there has Biblical insight for us for what will be happening prophetically.
The verses above are future scenarios that appear to be at hand shortly when put with the other "signs of the times" as seen in God's word. Ezekiel 38 indicates that Russia may survive their attack on Ukraine only later to be literally pulled by God to attack Israel. Much in the same situation with Ukraine, but worse. Israel will not have any help from "allies" and the whole world will be against them. However, this attack on Israel, is to the total destruction of the Russian military along with it's invading allies. In other words, Putin, if he is Russia's leader then, has his days numbered, by God, as are his allies as we will see.
Revelation 6 says that after Ezekiel 38-39 attempted invasion of Israel, and during the time of the coming anti-Christ in the Tribulation Period, God will allow the demonic forces of Satan to take peace from the world and cause one fourth (2 billion today) of the population of the earth to be destroyed by war, famines, death in general, and by "beasts" because the world rejected the true God in favor of the anti-Christ who deceives the whole world. "Beasts" (therion) in Revelation 6 could mean wild animals, or savage men. The invasion of Ukraine today may be God giving us a view of this and warning of what is to come for those who refuse his offer of salvation just as he has done with showing us a precursor of the anti-Christ with the Covid lockdowns and mandates which align with Revelation 13. The prophetical dots are connecting quite well.

At the writing of this article, it has been 20+ days since the government of Russia, as led and directed by their demonic dictator, Vladimir Putin, attacked and invaded the country of Ukraine. The still on-going invasion was unprovoked by the government of the Ukraine. But Putin, in his warped despot mind, believes he is going to revive the old Russian empire by taking over Ukraine and restoring it to the area of the old empire. So as we will see, his ambitions go far beyond just Ukraine. He wants to expand to a "Eurasian" civilization with himself as the leader.[1]
For instance, a book titled "The Return of Holy Russia: Apocalyptic History, Mystical Awakening, and the Struggle for the Soul of the World", by Gary Lachman, a description of the book says,
"At the turn of the 20th century, a period known as the Silver Age, Russia was undergoing a powerful spiritual and cultural rebirth. It was a time of magic and mysticism that saw a vital resurgence of interest in the occult and a creative intensity not seen in the West since the Renaissance. This was the time of the God-Seekers, pilgrims of the soul and explorers of the spirit who sought the salvation of the world through art and ideas. These sages and their visions of Holy Russia are returning to prominence now through Russian president Vladimir Putin, who, inspired by their ideas, envisions a new “Eurasian” civilization with Russia as its leader...
...Through in-depth exploration of the philosophies that inspire Putin’s political regime and a look at Russia’s unique cultural identity, Lachman ponders what they will mean for the future of Russia and the world. What drives the Russian soul to pursue the apocalypse? Will these philosophers lead Russia to dominate the world, or will they lead it into a new cultural epoch centered on spiritual power and mystical wisdom?" [ibid]
Of prophetical interest is that according to one research document,
..."The scholarly paper, “The Occult Revival in Russia Today and Its Impact on Literature,” demonstrates the existence of something as sinister as the regime’s domination of the church for its own political purposes. It describes how “post-Soviet Russia” has embraced New Age and occult ideas, even what the author, German academic Birgit Menzel, calls “dark” or “evil forces....

..."One of many fascinating revelations from Menzel’s well-researched 2007 article is that Aleksandr Dugin, now an adviser to Putin, has incorporated some of these ideas into his theory of “geopolitical Eurasianism,” a revival of the Russian empire that includes Islamic Iran" ...[2]
Now this inclusion of Iran is prophetically interesting on three fronts. The first has to do with Russia being involved in the "Iran Nuclear Deal", which it is negotiating with Iran and the United States at this very time. This is evil, corrupt, and disgusting to engage with the Russian government or Iran on any level. The second is Putin's adviser Dugin, whose idea of this new Russian empire includes Iran. The third has to do with the Ezekiel 38 prophecy in which God said in the last days he would "put a hook" in the mouth of the leader of what most believe is Russia, and pull him into a war against Israel, allied with Iran (Persia) and some other Islamic countries. Another reason Not to re-engage with this Iran and Russia in this nuclear "deal" that Trump pulled the United States out of. I will get into this a little later.
But in line with this alliance it is said of Dugin's desires,
"As defined in Foundations of Geopolitics, Dugin sees the need for an alliance between Turkey, Russia, Iran and the Central Asian republics—reviving the aspirations of pan-Turkism—against the Western hemisphere:" [2a]
This fits well into the Ezekiel 38 prophecy of which the above countries, and Central Asia (all the "stans" countries) are noted in Ezekiel.
Dugin, who is also called "Putin's dark prophet", is a dangerous man. He wants to see America be destroyed and wants to quickly bring about the literal end of the world while creating his "Eurasian" empire. The flag for this new country is seen in the above photo, is the symbol of Chaos.
But there are still more Satanic associations and teachings to Putin; especially those of a deceased mystic called Nicholas Roerich. An article in New Dawn Magazine said of Putin's fascination with Roerich,

“Roerich’s life was an amazing life, a marvel of
creativity and astonishing example of spiritual closeness that, perhaps doesn’t
lie on the surface, but is nevertheless the spiritual closeness that binds all
peoples.”
"But Nicholas Roerich was also a master of ‘spiritual geopolitics’ who
sought to establish a pan-Buddhist, transnational ‘New Country’ stretching from
Tibet to southern Siberia, including territory that was governed by China,
Mongolia, Tibet, and the Soviet Union. This ‘New
Country’ was conceived by Roerich as the manifest, earthly expression of the
invisible Kingdom of Shambhala, “the Holy Place, where the earthly world links
with the highest states of consciousness.” This Shambhala Project was to
establish the Sacred Union of the East.
According to ancient and current pagan writings, Shambhala, aka Hyperborea, is a hidden city in the far north in which an assembly of gods lives under the ruler of a king which they refer to by some as Maitreya and by some as Apollo ("Apollo" -the "Light Bearer" the Sun god, god of healing, and son of Zeus), and Rudra Cakrin (final king of Shambhala and world leader of a "Golden Age"). He is a coming world leader (the anti-Christ).
Dugin also believes that Russia is associated with ShambhaIa. I wrote of Shambhala and Apollo in my article, "Is The Health System of God, or Something Else?" The Bible also speaks of such a place in the "far north" where this assembly of gods lives and of which Satan said he would be ruler of. God said through Isaiah,
12 “How
you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down
to the ground, You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne
above the stars of God;
I will also sit on
the mount
of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;" Isaiah
14:12-13
Putin's Other Religion: The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC)

Putin claims to be a member of the state controlled Russian Orthodox Church, ROC, (which closely resembles the Roman Catholic Church and like it, is idolatrous and apostate). However, in spite of claiming he is Christian, Putin has been influenced by, and involved in occult philosophy as seen above. While purporting to be what is alleged to be "Christian", his actions against his fellow humans are those of a depraved demon possessed person. This has been apparent in his own country, in the past, now, and in his present invasion of Ukraine where he is presently purposely targeting civilians and threatening any interfering country with using nuclear weapons against them.
Putin is so evil that today he said he was going to "cleanse" Russia of "scum and traitors". In other words those who are protesting and oppose his war (and him) because even many of his own people see his evil and are tired of it.
The ROC's leader is Vladimir Mikhailovich Gundyayev, aka "Patriarch Kirill", aka "Patriarch of all Moscow and Rus" (Russia). According to what I have read about him, he is ecumenical and a supporter of Communism. He was a great fan of former Cuban dictator, Fidel Castro (above photo). One of the ROC churches under Krill was built in Cuba [3] By the way, Dugin also claims to be a member of the ROC.
That being said, Kirill has blessed the invasion of Ukraine. He is compliant in Putin's demonic thrust. This has caused a split in the ROC. An article in Reuters said,
"Kirill, 75, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, sees the war as a bulwark against a West he considers decadent, particularly over the acceptance of homosexuality.
He and Putin share a vision of the "Russkiy Mir", or "Russian World", linking spiritual unity and territorial expansion aimed at parts of the ex-Soviet Union, experts told Reuters.
What Putin sees as a political restoration, Kirill sees as a crusade."[3a]
And Kirill sees it just like that: a religious war. I would recommend reading the article as it is eye opening.
Ukraine And Volodymyr Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a Jew, but is considered more like a secular Jew in that he does not speak about Judhism, nor appear to be part of Jewish traditions outwardly. However he has the tenacity of the Jews in Israel in declaring they will fight against Russia until death before they become slaves again. I could not find any associations of outward occultism with Zelensky as are so blatant with Putin.
At the same time, Ukraine has been known to be a corrupt nation too. Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, have been financially involved with a corrupt Ukrainian gas business called "Burisma" of which Hunter was a board member. The fact that when Biden was Vice President under Obama, Biden told Ukraine that if they did not fire the prosecutor that was investigating Burisma, the United States would withhold giving money to Ukraine. This was seen as an attempt to protect Hunter, who was on the board, as claimed by the Trump side of things.
All of this was denied by U.S. intelligence who said they were just trying to get rid of a corrupt prosecutor. Actually, none of them are believable so we stick with the truth of God who, as he said, would bring all things into the light for all to see.
Ukrainian Orthodox Church
Ukraine itself is listed as having mostly followers of what is alleged to Christian associated. 53% of the Orthodox are supposed to be members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, while 15-20% is supposed to be with the ROC. From what I see, this is an Episcopal related church. This church comes under the authority of a guy called "Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople" (modern Istanbul, Turkey). This is interesting because Turkey is suppose to be part of Putin's new country and IS going to part of the Gog Magog attempted invasion of Israel as we will see. What is also interesting is that this Ukrainian Patriarch is one of two key religious figures within the World Economic Forum. I wrote about him in a past article [4]. Yet, there are true born again believers in Turkey!

From what I have read, both Putin and Krill are not happy that the Ukrainian Church is not associated with the Russian Orthodox church as noted in the Reuters article.
While also known to have a corrupt government as noted above, and being largely an apostate nation like Russia is (and the United States), as noted there are true believers in Ukraine and in Russia (and in the United States of which some believers are Russians and Ukrainians). This is true of most nations in the world today. So, we must always remember that we believers have brothers and sisters in each nation; they are not our enemies. Thus, born again believers in Russia are not enemies of believers in Ukraine and visa versa. This includes those in all the nations we will read about shortly.
The writer of Hebrews said
Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. 3 Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also. Hebrews 13:1-3
Also, it is the governments, not the people in general, who are the problem.
Russia's Attack And Invasion Of Ukraine
Now God has established governments to do good things, not any bad. Romans 13 says,
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Romans 13:1-4
But this "good" is not the case with Putin. For Putin is a terror for evil.
Putin Is The Agressor
Under the influence of some demonic principalities of the dark places, as we have seen, this almost anti-Christ has invaded another country just for the purpose of obtaining power over it to satisfy some demonic teaching of a Russian utopian empire. Now it has been said that since Putin has shut down any social media and outside media to the Russian people, that many of them do not know that Russia did in fact invade Ukraine. For those from Russia who may be reading this and do not believe this is happening, I will show some photos of the carnage Putin's government is putting upon, not only the civilian Ukrainian population, but also includes their own ethnos, the Russian and other groups that live there.
While Putin claims he has not been targeting civilians, he has been purposely targeting them; killing innocent civilians including the elderly and women and children without any second thought. Only a demon possessed person without conscience would do these things. He is being investigated for war crimes, which are obvious. Yet he got away with this in the past with his former invasions of other countries.
Jesus said,
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10
And this is what Putin came to Ukraine to do; steal, kill, and destroy.
In June of 2021, Putin wrote a long essay titled, "On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians: The True Sovereignty of Ukraine Is Only Possible in Partnership With Russia". In it he wrote on how Russians and Ukrainians are "a single whole". In it he spent most of his time on the history of Russia with Ukraine from ancient to today. He said things that are not truths about his affection for the Ukrainian people as seen in how he is performing genocides on the civilians. For example he said,
"We
know how hardworking and talented the people of Ukraine are. They can achieve
success and outstanding results with perseverance and determination. And these
qualities, as well as their openness, innate optimism and hospitality have not
gone. The feelings of millions of people who treat Russia not just well
but with great affection, just as we feel about Ukraine, remain the same.
"We
respect the Ukrainian language and traditions. We respect
Ukrainians’ desire to see their country free, safe
and prosperous.
"You are of your
father the devil, and the desires of
your father
you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does
not stand in the
truth, because there is no truth in him. When he
speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources,
for he is a liar and the father of it.
Putin is both a liar and murderer. The photos below are out of the invasion of Ukraine and are just a small sample of thousands that show these things.

This video continues with a man walking around the car showing the destruction of it that the tank did; and the bodies of two elderly people in it. The man in the video called the Russian military "animals". And he is right.
So, while Putin is the aggressor, Zelensky has a government that is actually attempting to protect his people from the government that is outside of God's purpose for governments. Putin is trying to punish him and the citizens in demonic ways.
Biblical vs Emotions
A short time ago the U.S. media showed some young captured Russian tank operators of whom were to have said that they didn't know they were going to war, but thought they were just on a training exercise. Hard to say. It makes for a nice propaganda piece to feel bad for them and families of the Russian soldiers who are being killed. However, from these photos and all the destruction that is happening in Ukraine, it would appear that some of these soldiers who "apparently" didn't know what was going on, seem to take pleasure in killing and destroying. The actions do not meet what is professed overall.
Now some would think this is a non-loving attitude to have about the Russian soldiers. Yet, if one has not been confronted with an aggressor, a threatening armed person face to face, they would not know that, at that point, there is no thought of the aggressor's family ties. There is only the thought that if the threat of the aggressor is not stopped, or eliminated, the one confronted may not be going home. While we should never rejoice in the death of even our enemies, hold this thought for a while and we will look at these things from what we see in the Bible of the future attempt at Israel, and the Tribulation Period from God's perspective instead of from an emotional view.
We live in an extremely fallen world that has brought about the closeness of final judgment. It is somewhat like God said to Abraham about bringing a future Israel in to the land He promised, At that announcement God said it was not time for Israel to enter Canaan and destroy the people until the 4th generation because "16 But in the fourth generation because, "the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.” (Genesis 15:16). Their sin had not yet attained to the worst. In the same manner, what has been prophesied concerning the end state of the world apart from God is happening now. Yet it seems like many don't see the seriousness of this and what really will happen, and is happening. Many do not take God seriously. While he is a God of grace and mercy, he is also a God of judgment of evil and apostasy.
We see this example at a time when Israel traded God for the religions of other nations. God told Jeremiah,
"16 “Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you. " Jeremiah 7:16
"11 Therefore thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will surely bring calamity on them which they will not be able to escape; and though they cry out to Me, I will not listen to them. 12 Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods to whom they offer incense, but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble....
14 “So do not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry out to Me because of their trouble." Jeremiah 11:11-12, 14
It seems harsh to some, but God, in his love, still will eventually save a remnant because He made a promise to Israel.
The Ezekiel 38-29 Attack On Israel
So as of this day while the Russians are still reigning horror upon the cities of Ukraine and are encircling Kyiv, it is still unknown what the outcome of Ukraine will be. Could God step in and stop the evil Putin? Yes, but we don't know what he is allowing to further the future prophesied events. What is apparent is that publically, God is not even brought in the equation to help Ukraine. Zelensky himself is not crying out to God for help, but to the nations (who are not God) for weapons to defend Ukraine. And to add another problem to this, in a message he gave to his people he said, "Glory be to Ukraine". While this is admirable from a fleshly standpoint, it is not admiral with God. God said he would not give his glory to anyone or anything. Most of the talk by media and the U.S. Congress does not mention God either. It is all relying on man against a demonic spiritual force. How good it would be if Zelensky knew these things concerning God, turned to Him, and declared them to his people.
The NATO nations and others have allowed themselves to have their nations subservient to the threats of Putin if anyone tries to interfere. So while they speak noble things about the Ukrainians and Zelensky, who makes many of them and their administrations look ashamed, they cower to the bully of the world, not knowing or relying on God. If Putin wins here, he will see he can use intimidation to go further and accomplish his demonic Eurasia dream if not stopped. This is common sense. But it sure looks like a setup to now show the future cowering of world of leaders during the soon coming time of the anti-Christ as the prophecy says,
"4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13:4
FEAR.
If they are afraid of a possessed man now, they will definitely cower to the utterances and power of the madman who is possessed by Satan himself. But the Christian knows that,
"12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places..."
So how then do Christians fight against such evil as Putin?
"...13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Ephesians 6:13-18.
The weapons against such evil are of God, not man.
But the world and its leaders do not know, do not understand or do not believe this. If they did, they would not be afraid and would cry out to God. If they did, they would know the eventual outcome of those evil rulers and nations that come against the people of God as seen in Ezekiel 38-39. I will repeat the verses from Ezekiel 38 on this future invasion of Israel by Russia and its Islamic allies, including Iran. How different it would be if Zelensky and the world would cry out to God.
"Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, [a]the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you."
Something will happen to cause Russia and Islamic allies, initiated by God, to attack Israel. God continues,
8 After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. 9 You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”
"10 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: 11 You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell [d]safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— 12 to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land...
Similar to the situation in Ukraine with the nations applauding their endeavor against Russia from the outside, but fearing Putin, when Russia comes to invade Israel, its "allies" will say to him or a leader of Russia at that time,
"13 Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’ ” ’ Ezekiel 38:13
These nations are believed to be those who have signed the Abraham Peace Accord with Israel, and nations such as the United States and Briton (young lions). They, like today, will not come against this coalition of nations led by Russia. Instead, ask them, why are you doing this? But, unlike what is going on in Ukraine, destruction comes Russian and their allied nations during their attack.
Judgment Comes To Russia And ALL Who Come Against Israel
"16 You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.” 17 Thus says the Lord God: “Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied for years in those days that I would bring you against them?
18 “And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God, “that My fury will show in My face. 19 For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, 20 so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’ 21 I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ Ezekiel 38:1-11, 16-23
"4 You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5 You shall fall on the open field; for I have spoken,” says the Lord God. 6 “And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the Lord. 7 So I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore. Then the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel. 8 Surely it is coming, and it shall be done,” says the Lord God. “This is the day of which I have spoken. Ezekiel 39:4-8
The word of God says to Putin and the leaders of these other countries and man in general,
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap... Galatians 6:7
What Putin is, and has been doing, will come back upon him. He cannot hide from God. If Putin is still leader of Russia at that time, this is his end; and without the agency of man as God reveals himself to Israel and the world.
God did this with Israel when Assyria, led by Sennacherib, attacked Judah as seen in 2 Chronicles 29. Jerusalem was surrounded by an army who had never been defeated. His threats were like Putin's as he laid siege to Jerusalem: Give up and I will allow you to live in my land, resist and I will destroy you. Sennacherib blasphemed God by saying the God of Israel was no defense against him, that no gods of any nation had ever defeated him. Israel prayed to God and God alone delivered them. While Jerusalem was totally surrounded, God sent one angel who killed 185,000 troops in one night without Israel even engaging with them. Sennacherib was later killed by his own sons. This future deliverance of Israel by God will also be one of supernatural deliverance.
Of this God further says,
"9 “Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and bucklers, the bows and arrows, the [f]javelins and spears; and they will make fires with them for seven years. 10 They will not take wood from the field nor cut down any from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons; and they will plunder those who plundered them, and pillage those who pillaged them,” says the Lord God.
11 “It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; and it will obstruct travelers, because there they will bury Gog and all his multitude. Therefore they will call it the Valley of [g]Hamon Gog. 12 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land. 13 Indeed all the people of the land will be burying, and they will gain renown for it on the day that I am glorified,” says the Lord God Ezekiel 39:9-13
Ezekiel further described their destruction after this and the restoration of Israel back to God.
A Sad State of The World Apart From God
Now I want to bring us back to what I said about the media painting the picture of feeling bad for the Russian soldiers who are killing Ukrainian civilians without conscience. There is some sort of spiritual move in the United States where the aggressors of a violent crime are looked upon as a victims as if they should be felt sorry for. And many times they are given a pass and even avoid prosecution. It has truly become a nation where as the Word says, good will become evil and evil will become good. However, there comes a time when God says, "No more" to evil against his people and in the world as a whole as He did with Israel, in the Flood, and in destroying Sodom and Gomorrah.
In this above soon coming battle against Israel, of which God himself allows, there will be a total destruction of all the attacking armies; by God, despite that they have mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. While God desires all men to be saved, there are those who will not choose to be part of God's gift of salvation, but instead be his enemy. We can see this in the description of what becomes of these troops.
As we see the mass graves being dug in Ukraine, this and much worse will be what is in store for them as seen above: there will not even graves for many.
"4 You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured." Ezekiel 39:4
And it will be worse in the Tribulation Period because all the destruction that comes then will be upon the entire population of the world, not just one country.
As we look at the destruction and death taking place in Ukraine and see what will be possibly shortly happening in Israel, we should take heed to these things. For what we see happening in Ukraine right now will be happening in every country in the world. Like Revelation 6 said,
3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” 4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword...
...7 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” 8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. Revelation 6:3-4, 7-8
Humanitarian aid will not be a factor as the death and destruction will be everywhere and overwhelm it all. And this is just a small sample of the evil things of this coming time. Like Ukraine, no conveniences of water, heat, shelter, food supplies, and more. Just death everywhere in every city. Here is a sad thing that we can even see today. With all of the destruction, wars, genocide, famines and plagues, the world will still not turn to God; but instead, curse Him who would save them. We need to pay attention to the warnings.
"20 But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. 21 And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries (pharmacueticals) or their sexual immorality or their thefts." Revelation 9:20-21
"8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him." Revelation 16:8
So much for the man caused climate change. Climate
change is coming: but from God.
Still, A Hope In The Message
While it does not seem so, there is a blessing that can come to those who read, believe, and keep what is in the book of Revelation.
6 Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the [b]holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.
7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:6-7
For those who are true born again believers in God and His Son Jesus, there is a promise of being spared of living in the world during the time of the Tribulation. This includes those believers in the countries that ally themselves with Russia. God loves them despite of where they are living or how evil their governments are. Yes, it will be the same for those believers in the United States.
Revelation 3 says in part to the faithful church of Philadelphia,
"7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
Jesus is talking about the "Rapture" of the church. He speaking the time when he will snatch his bride out of the world prior to the destruction of it. So there is hope for believers in Russia, Ukraine, the areas of Turkey, Iran and many others involved in these current and future wars.
A Message To Those Who Don’t Know God and His Salvation
If you are not a believer, but you just might think that there is something to
what you have read here, you may want to learn more.
God does not want anyone to perish eternally, nor to even go through the
Tribulation which is seven years of Hell on Earth.
Here is a place to start to learn about the salvation that God has for
you.
The ABCs of Salvation
Some people think a personal relationship with God is something only theologians
can comprehend. Actually, God’s plan of salvation is simple enough for everyone
to understand. Here are the ABCs of salvation.
Admit
Admit to God that you are a sinner. All persons need salvation. Each of us has a
problem the Bible calls sin. Sin is a refusal to acknowledge God’s authority
over our lives. Everyone who does not live a life of perfect obedience to the
Lord is guilty of sin. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
(Rom. 3:23). Since none of us is perfect, all of us are sinners (Rom.
3:10-18).The result of sin is spiritual death (Rom. 6:23). Spiritual death means
eternal separation from God. By God’s perfect standard we are guilty of sin and
therefore subject to the punishment for sin, which is separation from God.
Admitting that you are a sinner and separated from God is the first step of
repentance, which is turning from sin and self and turning toward God.
Believe
Believe in Jesus Christ as God’s Son and receive Jesus’ gift of forgiveness from
sin. God loves each of us. God offers us salvation. Although we have done
nothing to deserve His love and salvation, God wants to save us. In the death of
Jesus on the cross, God provided salvation for all who would repent of their
sins and believe in Jesus. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”
(John 3:16).
Confess
Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to others. After you have
received Jesus
Christ into your life, share your decision with another person. Tell your pastor
or a Christian friend about your decision.
If you do not go to church or have a pastor, ask God to lead you to a
church that teaches truth and the gospel.
Following Christ’s example, ask for baptism by immersion in your church
as a public expression of your faith. “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is
Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be
saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is
with your mouth that you confess and are saved” (Rom. 10:9-10).
Then take the time to learn from, and of God. Study the Bible. Get a
New King James, New American Standard, or a King James version to begin your
study. The first two are easier reading. The King James has more
word study materials with it but the old language may be a little harder to
read.
